Red Bull Music Academy teamed up with Metropolis to bring audiences a series of conversations with several artists on the line-up across the weekend of November 3, 4 and 5 2016. That means that as well as a stellar music programme, people got to hear first-hand experiences, insights, stories, and anecdotes from some of the biggest names in the business.
Some of the featured speakers over the weekend included Karl Hyde Underworld, Wolfgang Flur, founding member of the iconic Kraftwerk, Hot Chip frontman (and Prince devotee) Alexis Taylor, Ralph Rolle (chic) German techno legend Paul Kalkbrenner
We were asked to get involved with the Red Bull Music Academy activation at Metropolis to create an atmospheric and creative space for the talks, it was important achieve the right look and feel in the room and stage to emphasise the lowkey and relaxed nature of the talks.
We sourced quirky antique furniture and balanced with the correct lighting mix and a stage that was an extension of the venues antique library personality.
