A truly Looney competition involving manpowered flying machines and crazy pilots launching themselves off a ramp to see how far they can fly…

The most recent of the three Red Bull Flugtag,s held in Ireland was the 100th Flugtag worldwide for Red Bull . On 22 May, Red Bull Flugtag in Dun Laoghaire in 2011 attracted 100,000 spectators in its spectacular return to Irish waters!

The world famous event will again saw Irish competitors taking ‘momentarily’ to the skies on Sunday, May 22nd .The event will take place in the spectacular setting of Europe’s largest man-made pier – Dun Laoghaire Harbour. The historic harbour, completed in 1842, was a fitting setting for Red Bull Flugtag event that has being previously being hosted in Lagenside Belfast in 2004 and Arthur’s Quay Park in Limerick in 2006.

This event is infectious and one that was great fun to work on from start to finish.
